Accessibility Statement

I’m committed to making gal-chen.com accessible to as many people as possible.

Standards & goal
I aim to meet WCAG 2.2, Level AA.

What I do

  • Semantic HTML, labeled forms, proper headings and alt text.

  • Keyboard navigation and visible focus states.

  • Color-contrast checks and scalable text (200%+ without loss of content).

  • Responsive layout, no horizontal scrolling at typical breakpoints.

  • Reduced motion where supported by the OS setting.

  • Regular audits and fixes as part of ongoing maintenance.

Compatibility
The site works with current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge on desktop and mobile, and common assistive tech (e.g., NVDA, VoiceOver). Very old browsers may not be fully supported.

Known limitations (partially conformant)
Some content is provided by third parties and may not be fully accessible yet:

  • Embedded media or widgets (e.g., video hosts, social embeds, design prototypes).

  • Older images/documents that may lack full text alternatives.
If you encounter an issue, tell me and I’ll provide an accessible alternative.

Feedback & requests
Spotted a problem or need content in another format? I’ll help.

  • Email: gal@gal-chen.com

  • Phone/WhatsApp: +972-52-568-8604
I usually reply within 3 business days and aim to fix issues promptly.

Assessment approach
Self-evaluation plus periodic checks with automated and manual tools.

Continuous improvement
Accessibility is an ongoing effort. I review this statement and the site as I update content and features.
